OUR STORY
1st Generation Dreams
We're Tristan & Sara Gibson -- a husband and wife duo with a simple dream: to build a life that felt a little closer to the land and a little slower and more intentional than the world around us.
Although we're first generation farmers, agriculture has always been woven into our story. Tristan grew up spending time on his grandfather's farm in Mercer County, helping grow, cut, and bale hay and learning the value of hard work. Sara spent her childhood summers on her grandad's tobacco farm in Peaks Mill, where long days outdoors and a love for rural life left a lasting impression.
As adults, we found ourselves longing for those experiences again -- not just for ourselves, but also for our children. We wanted them to know where their food comes from, to spend their days outdoors, and to grow up connected to the animals, the land, and the values that farming teaches.
What started with just three piglets, some hand-me-down land, and a vision for something better, has grown into Gibson Farm & Ranch. We're building this farm one step at a time -- learning as we go, celebrating the victories, and embracing the challenges that come with creating something from the ground up.
